Of the 10,040,682 citizens living in Los Angeles County in 2020, 7,862,123 were old enough to vote as of March 24, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 4,027,210 of those people were female and 3,834,913 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
