On Saturday, April 26, former Herbert Hoover High School standout Cortney Fizer’s current college team, the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats, lost 3-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Glenville State Pioneers.
The game took place at Sue Morris Sports Complex. This was their fourth matchup against the Pioneers this season.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
