On Friday, Feb. 28, former La Canada High School standout Tai Walton’s current college team, the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners, lost 6-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the San Diego Toreros.
The game took place at Fowler Park. This was their first matchup against the Toreros this season.
The Roadrunners’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 5 p.m. at Fowler Park against San Diego Toreros.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
