On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Maranatha High School standout Eli Paton’s current college team, the Grand Canyon Antelopes, lost 8-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Austin Peay Governors.
The game took place at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. This was their first matchup against the Governors this season.
The Antelopes’ next game is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. at Brazell Field at GCU Ballpark against Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
