On Friday, April 4, former St. Francis High School standout Lucas Favretto’s current college team, the Caltech Beavers, lost 16-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the La Verne Leopards.
The game took place at Ben Hines Field. This was their first matchup against the Leopards this season.
The Beavers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at North Field against La Verne Leopards.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
