On Friday, Feb. 14, former St. Francis High School standout Lucas Favretto’s current college team, the Caltech Beavers, lost 7-0 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Chicago Maroons.
The game took place at North Field. This was their first matchup against the Maroons this season.
The Beavers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. at North Field against Chicago Maroons.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
