On Friday, Feb. 28, former Maranatha High School standout Eli Paton’s current college team, the Grand Canyon Antelopes, won 4-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Texas State Bobcats.
The game took place at Bobcat Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Bobcats this season.
The Antelopes’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Bobcat Ballpark against Texas State Bobcats.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
