On Friday, March 14, former Maranatha High School standout Eli Paton’s current college team, the Grand Canyon Antelopes, lost 6-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Oregon State Beavers.
The game took place at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. This was their first matchup against the Beavers this season.
The Antelopes’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 11 a.m. at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field against Santa Clara Broncos.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
