On Sunday, April 20, former La Canada High School standout Adam Geller’s current college team, the Emory Eagles, won 11-7 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Chicago Maroons.
The game took place at Chappell Park. This was their fourth matchup against the Maroons this season.
The Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. at Chappell Park against Washington Bears.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
