On Sunday, March 16, former Maranatha High School standout AJ Beltre’s current college team, the San Diego Toreros, lost 19-10 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Columbia Lions.
The game took place at Fowler Park. This was their third matchup against the Lions this season.
The Toreros’ next game is scheduled for Monday, March 17 at 12 p.m. at Fowler Park against Columbia Lions.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
