On Saturday, Feb. 15, former Maranatha High School standout Angelo Aleman’s current college team, the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, won 8-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Eastern Illinois Panthers.
The game took place at Lou St. Amant Field. This was their second matchup against the Panthers this season.
The Warhawks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at Lou St. Amant Field against Eastern Illinois Panthers.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
