On Saturday, April 5, former St. Francis High School standout Lucas Favretto’s current college team, the Caltech Beavers, lost 8-2 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the La Verne Leopards.
The game took place at North Field. This was their third matchup against the Leopards this season.
The Beavers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at North Field against Whittier Poets.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The upcoming week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature these former Verdugos area high school athletes.
